Our Fire and EMS Volunteers

​

In Vestal, our Fire Department and Emergency Medical Services (EMS) respond to house fires, car accidents, injuries, and medical emergencies, even if the call is in the middle of the night.  All of the members of our Fire Department and most of the members of our EMS are volunteers.  Their selfless devotion ensures that our residents get the help that they need when they are in crisis.

In addition to responding to jobs, our Fire and EMS volunteers spend an incredible amount of time undergoing intense training to become qualified and maintain their skills.  In doing so, they sacrifice tremendous amounts of time away from their families and incur substantial personal expense.

Their efforts are both essential and invaluable.  For their dedication and sacrifice, they deserve our appreciation and all the support that we can give them.
